I was poking through Google Analytics stats for this blog. I was curious to see what people are looking for here, and to see how the viewing patterns changed over time. Listed below what Google says were my most visited posts from the last month, last year, and all time.

While I know there is a group of people who read regularity through feed readers or find me through other people's blog roll, most of the page views on this blog comes from referrals from search engine. That traffic is evenly split between image search and normal search. Most views are through Firefox or IE, but 1/3 of my traffic is now viewed in Chrome and Safari, and I just realized some things do not display properly in those browsers.

My top posts on India and Mexico City get more image search traffic because I linked to larger sized pictures than I normally post. I usually use small images to load faster. The India post also gets some traffic since it somehow got listed on some pages at mustseeindia.com. One person found my picture of the Taj Mahal through Google Image search and asked for permission to put it into a T-shirt.

My post on the Malibu Creek trail run gets a lot of image search traffic, but I cannot tell why since Google does not provide the keywords of what people were looking for when coming from image search. An old (and now a little dated post) on how to load a garmin GPS route into mapmaking software still draws some traffic. And my post on the Hawaii half-ironman draws some traffic from people looking for the Kona full-ironman.
