I Made the News

The KXAN tv station has been using a picture of me running last year's Austin Marathon as a background image for graphics in their coverage of this year's marathon. No doubt a tribute to my awesome athletic performances ;)
This got me thinking about where they got the picture from. At first I thought maybe they got the picture off my blog post from last year's marathon. But then I remembered hardly anyone reads this blog so it is not too likely that just ran across it. They must have found it with Google Image Search. This picture is the first to come up on a search on "Freescale Austin Marathon". And Google found it because of the link on my blog.

  5. I ran the marathon and my 14 year old son did the half in Austin, had a great time (my 4th Austin and 16th marathon). I enjoyed reading your post about Pike's Peak. I am scheduling to do it and Death Valley in the same year when I turn 50. If you get a chance, please visit my running web site, Faithful Soles. I have a categorized and searchable Running Blog Database on there and would appreciate it if you would link your blog to it. We have a lot of ultra-runners (and people of all ages and abilities).
